About Us

Since 2011, Lightpoint Church has been providing food and clothing to local people living in poverty and other disadvantage. Lightpoint Church would hold their annual Helping Hand Day in December of each year, even through COVID.

Now in 2025, Lightpoint Community Care is a public benevolent offshoot from Lightpoint Church. Lightpoint Community Care Limited is a company limited by guarantee, and is registered by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission as a charity with Public Benevolent Institution status.

This means that donations made to Lightpoint Community Care are tax deductible.

Our focus is clear: to relieve poverty, distress and helplessness among individuals and families facing acute material and personal hardship. We provide food, clothing, emergency financial assistance, disaster relief and longer-term mentoring aimed at helping people break cycles of disadvantage.

We cover areas of the City of Wyndham (Victoria, Australia) including: Point Cook, Williams Landing, Hoppers Crossing, Werribee, Truganina, and Tarneit, and will soon extend to the City of Geelong including: Armstrong Creek, Mt Duneed, Grovedale, and Waurn Ponds.
